Edwin DePeiza and the Urban Renewal Band have helped to create wonderful memories for their clients and their guests for the past 18 years. Professionalism and specialization is the key to bandleader Edwin DePeiza's success with the group. He tailors the size of his band and the repertoire they perform to fit any affair. From low-key standards during cocktail hour in a swank Boston hotel, to a Motown "great time" at the mansions in Newport, to a big band sound at castles in Germany, Mr. DePeiza and his band have played every type of venue ... thoughtfully providing for each unique situation.
Although the band boasts international as well as national acclaim, its members are in-fact some of the finest, most talented musicians from the New England area. The band is tight every step of the way and their solo performances are always applause worthy.

Mr DePeiza’s musical career began in church, as did many of the great R & B players of our times. His style is unique, deeply soulful with the flavor of the island of Barbados where he was born. He has performed with such greats as Carla Thomas, Rufus Thomas, Clarence Carter, Maurice Starr, and Lionel Ritchie (Berlin, Germany in 1999). He has also played in Canada, Germany and Austria. On several of his 40 tours in Europe, he performed at the World famous Nacht Cafe and the prestigious Bayerlacher Hof (5 star Hotel) in Munich.

Germany, The Update Band of New York in Germany and Austria. Mr. Hamer has
had over 30 engagements in Europe including Germany, London, Spain and Austria
